The Center for Cancer Equity and Engagement (CCEE) aims to ensure that the work and research of the Dana-Farber/Harvard Cancer Center are driven by the needs of communities across Massachusetts. Through collaborative partnerships, the CCEE is committed to reducing cancer burden and cancer inequity across the state. Our efforts are focused on achieving the following goals: monitoring the burden of cancer across Massachusetts communities, enhancing linkages between DF/HCC researchers and communities in the space of cancer disparities, creating strategies to increase minority access to clinical trials, and strengthening the impact of cancer outreach and education initiatives across the state.
We are guided in this work by leaders from communities across Massachusetts. Our Community Advisory Board is comprised of cancer survivors, community advocates, public health leaders, educators, and providers. We are committed to working with existing programs and initiatives to reduce cancer disparities and support increased access to cancer resources for all Massachusetts residents.
